Born into the rich cultural heritage of India, Shrimi was brought up to appreciate the things that matter most. Surrounded by a close-knit extended family, she exhibited a passion of acknowledging and preserving special moments from a very young age. She has always been a perfectionist and a self-starter, with a love for creativity and a sense of adventure! These qualities, combined with her natural talents, resulted in the creation of Happily Desserted.
Shrimi did not start off as a professional baker but rather a much different route. After completing her Bachelors in English Literature, she then pursued her Masters in Business Administration. Her education involved her in the corporate world for a few years before deciding to move to The States with her husband. Her international move and the birth of her lovely daughter presented the perfect opportunity for her to focus on her new adventure as a mom. Once her daughter became a toddler, she was inspired to pursue her love for baking by starting her own company. Her business and marketing background allowed her to take her skills to the next level…and that is how Happily Desserted was born!
Shrimi continues to pursue her passion, learn, grow and challenge herself with each new recipe or technique and focus on providing her customers with nothing but pure ingredients and delicious, made-from-scratch creations! It has always been important to her that her customers happily enjoy their desserts without the guilt of eating processed foods full of preservatives and other adulterated items.
